This policy covers outpostevacuation.com and the stores, checkouts and emails of Outpost Preparedness LLC (“Outpost,” “we”), San Diego, California. We do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- When you buy: your name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and what you ordered. Payment card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and go to Stripe, not to us.
- When you fill in a form or email us: what you send, such as your name, email, organization and message.
- When you browse: the pages you view, the buttons you click, the site or ad that sent you, and your device type and approximate location (city level). We record this with our own analytics; IP addresses are hashed, not stored as-is.
- Cookies and similar storage: a first-party cookie that remembers which link or ad first brought you here, your cart (stored in your browser), and the advertising pixels described below.
Advertising pixels
Most pages load the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) and the LinkedIn Insight Tag. They tell those platforms that someone who saw our ad visited, started a checkout or bought, so we can measure our ads and show them to people likely to find them useful. When you buy, we also send Meta a record of the purchase from our server, with your email address hashed, plus the browser details the pixel already sees (IP address, browser type and Meta's cookie IDs). You can limit this in your Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn ad settings, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser. The TEN MINUTES family drill game does not load these pixels.
How we use it
- To fill, ship and support your order, including the setup call that comes with READY 72.
- To answer you, and to send order and shipping updates.
- To send a reminder if you leave a checkout unfinished, at most one a week.
- To send emails you signed up for. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand which pages and ads work, and to improve the site.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that do the work for us, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe for payments.
- Printful to print and ship apparel orders.
- Shipping carriers (such as FedEx or USPS) to deliver your order.
- Meta and LinkedIn for ad measurement, as described above.
- Our hosting, email and customer-records providers, which store and send data on our behalf.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Everything else is kept while it is useful for serving you, and deleted when you ask.
Your choices, and deleting your data
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email drew@outpostprep.com with the subject “Privacy request” and the email address or phone number you used with us. We will confirm the request and complete it within 30 days. Records we must keep by law, such as completed orders for tax purposes, are kept only for that purpose. If you connected with us through Facebook or Instagram, the same email removes that data too.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
