HALO Power
Powered evacuation — up the stairs as well as down.
The HALO Power is the hero unit: a motorized, tracked evacuation chair driven by a 24V lithium-ion battery. Unlike a gravity-fed chair, it moves a passenger both up and down stairs under power, so one operator can run it without heavy lifting — even on high-rise flights.
It's built for refuge floors, high-acuity hospital units, and any building where an evacuation might mean going up to the roof as readily as down to the street.
The operator uses a simple control pad to set speed and direction while the powered belt-track carries the passenger up or down the stairs. A second person can assist via the ascending control handles when needed. One full charge lasts 150 flights of stairs, and on flat ground rear pushing handles let the Power double as a wheelchair.
